My artistic journey is primarily expressed through the medium of oil painting, which I divide into two distinct realms:
Landscape Paintings: The beauty of the natural world deeply inspires me. I immerse myself in the landscape, often completing my work on location in just one or two sessions. This approach allows me to capture the essence of the moment, employing techniques such as color blending, brushwork, and the a la prima method. These quick and spontaneous works radiate a sense of freshness.
Contemplative Compositions: In contrast, my explorations into more thoughtful and composed works, such as the Hungarian folkcostumes or my "Sharing of the brad" compositions, demand time and meticulous attention. Some of these pieces evolve through several iterations. They bear a weighty message and exude a solemn aura, reflecting the complexities of life.
To me, art is not a division of disciplines but a unified craft that requires mastery of its secrets and techniques. My dedication lies in creating complete works that transcend mere self-indulgence. Art, in its truest form, serves to balance the hardships and tribulations of life, offering solace and inspiration to those who engage with it.
